When Martha Talula Morris was born in September 1879 in Texas, her father, Elijah, was 29, and her mother, Malinda, was 28. She married Robert Guess and they had four children together. She also had ten children with William Martin Grant horton. She died on November 30, 1924, in Peacock, Texas, at the age of 45.
