When Thomas Edward Fleming was born on November 16, 1856, in Alabama, his father, Berry, was 41 and his mother, Hettie, was 21. He married Lula A. Thomas / Fleming on October 1, 1883, in Rockwall, Texas. They had ten children in 26 years. He died on November 12, 1931, in Peacock, Texas, at the age of 74, and was buried there.
