When James Edward 'Jim' Yarborough was born on May 28, 1903, in Jewett, Texas, his father, Joseph, was 21 and his mother, Oleta, was 19. He had one son and one daughter with Clara Elza Bunch between 1927 and 1930. He died on January 4, 1981, in Rotan, Texas, at the age of 77, and was buried in Peacock, Texas.
