Johnnie Nadine Meador 95 went to be with her Lord Monday afternoon at a local care center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday at First Baptist Church in Peacock officiated by Rev. Robby Harris assisted by Rev Brian Burgess with burial to follow in the Double Mountain Cemetery under the care and direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont.

Johnnie was born in Stonewall county to W.L. ""China"" Rash and Annie Walsh Rash, she married A.B. Meador Jr. on April 25,1945 in the Stamford Baptist Church parsonage. Johnnie served her country in the United States Army During World War II. She was a volunteer at the Stonewall County Sr Citizens, her hobbies where sewing, quilting, gardening and watching grandkids and great grandchildren play sports.
Johnnie was a member of First Baptist Church of Peacock.
Johnnie is survived by children:
Eddie Meador and wife Donna of Scott City , Kansas
Geary Meador and wife Debra of Aspermont
Paul Meador and wife Monica of Knox City, Texas
Sue Chisum and husband Zedrick of Aspermont
Sally McNutt and husband Buddy of Aspermont
Special Sister-in-law Juanita Moorhead of Aspermont
Thirteen Grandchildren
Five Step Grandchildren
Twenty Two Great Grandchildren
Fourteen Step Great Grandchildren

Johnnie was preceeded in death by her husband A.B. Meador Jr. Father W.L. ""China"" Rash Mother Annie (Walsh) Rash

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 Thursday at McCoy Funeral Home

When Augustus Bruce Meador, Jr. was born on March 28, 1914, in Texas, his father, Augustus, was 28 and his mother, Maudie, was 27. He had five children with Johnnie Nadine Rush. He died on February 26, 1976, in Aspermont, Texas, at the age of 61, and was buried in Peacock, Texas.
