When Imo Lee Nelson was born on January 26, 1906, in Texas, her father, William, was 28, and her mother, Mary, was 21. She had two sons and one daughter with Gabriel H. Rigby between 1923 and 1940. She died on September 6, 1989, in Aspermont, Texas, at the age of 83, and was buried in Peacock, Texas.
