When William J Blanton was born in June 1863 in Collin, Texas, his father, Francis, was 42 and his mother, Martha, was 31. He married Elizabeth (Lizzie) Catherine Barnett in 1887 in Travis, Texas. They had 11 children in 19 years. He had one brother and four sisters.
