Ex-Wacoan Frank Rose Dies at 52
Frank Rose, 52, of Denison, a former Wacoan, died at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday in the MKT Hospital in Denison.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Wilkinson and Hatch Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Frank Bartos officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Gause Cemetery in Gause.
Mr. Rose was born in San Angelo. He attended Bryan schools and married the former Miss Jessie Ward of Comanche in Waco in 1939. He lived in Waco for several years and moved to Denison three years ago.
He was an electrician for the MKT Railroad for 25 years. Mr. Rose was a member of Christ Methodist Church in Waco; a member of Masonic Lodge 92, AF&AM in Waco; and member of the VFW in Denison. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Leapart of Sebring, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Calvin A. Dickey of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Verna Roper of Houston and Mrs. Glenda McGee of Waco; six brothers, Howard Rose of Tucson, Ariz., Lewis Rose, Melvin Rose, Alvin Rose and Ernest Rose, all of Waco and Genie Rose of Gauze.
