When Charles Lee Cornelius was born on June 26, 1927, in Kemp, Texas, his father, Dalton, was 17 and his mother, Laura, was 15. He had one child with Velma Jo Butler. He died on May 28, 1997, in Carrollton, Texas, at the age of 69, and was buried in Carrollton, Texas.
