R C Was a very active man. He was Pastor of three different churches ; First Baptist Church of Alvord; First Baptist Church of Gainesville; and Calvary Baptist Church of Dallas.At the age of 41 he was elected to be President of Buckner Baptist Benevolences, he was the fourth President in their 126 years of operation.
Though his accomplishments were many, possibly his greatest success was relocating the entire Cam Rahn Boys Christian Orphanage out of South Viet Nam just prior to its fall.
