Born Jack Co., TX, and died Olney, Young Co., TX. She had lived in Jermyn since 1926. She graduated from Jermyn High School in 1915 and received her teaching certificate from Decatur Baptist College. She taught school for several years in Jack and Young Counties. She and Spurgeon Cooper married 4 September 1921 at Amarillo, Texas. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Cooper had been a member of Jermyn Baptist Church since the age of 13. She was the music director for 35 years and taught Sunday School. Survived by one daughter; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter.
