When George Ellis McBride was born on September 8, 1928, in Cooke, Texas, his father, Melvern, was 33 and his mother, Beulah, was 30. He married Laura Delores Moses on January 15, 1949, in Jackson, Oklahoma. He died on August 14, 1999, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 70.
