When Raymond Jennings Wimple was born on March 24, 1898, in Tuscola, Illinois, his father, Silas, was 41 and his mother, Mary, was 32. He married Annie Faye Wimple on November 8, 1924, in Wise CountyTexas. They had four children during their marriage. He died on May 10, 1977, in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 79, and was transported back to Vernon, Texas where he is buried.
