When Sarah C. (Sally) Haynes was born on September 1, 1881, in Ellis, Texas, her father, Andrew, was 33, and her mother, Triphaney, was 36. She married David S Blake in 1905 in her hometown. They had two children during their marriage. She died on September 18, 1973, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 92.
