When Lonnie Columbus Kinsey was born on July 24, 1881, in Clay, Texas, his father, Carroll, was 26 and his mother, Mary, was 28. He married Addie Busch Quisenberry on December 14, 1904, in his hometown. They had five children in 14 years. He died on December 12, 1954, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 73, and was buried there.
