*Obituary Mary L. Briley Dolloff
Funeral services for Mary Dolloff, age 84 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Monday, July 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God with Teresa Sims officiating, and Jess Briley assisting. Burial will follow in Gaines County Memorial Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday July 2, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Boyer Funeral Home.

Mary Dolloff was born March 20, 1939 to Dorothy (Timms) and E.L. Briley. She was married to Clyde Dolloff on March 1, 1955. She worked for Seminole Independent School District for forty years, in the cafeteria at F.J. Young Elementary.

Mary was the oldest of ten children and that is where her life of work began, as she was the caregiver for her younger siblings; this would be a job that she continued throughout her lifetime. She always had a heart and helping hand available to anyone who needed it. The job that Mary loved the most was being the manager at the F.J. Young Cafeteria. It was a daily occurrence for her to be wiping a dirty little face, cleaning clothes, or depositing money into a lunch account for the children who so dearly loved her. She was a fierce advocate for each and every child and for the poor. There have been many children who have grown into adults and remember her love and compassion. She reluctantly retired in 2016. Mary always had children at her house and spent many summers enjoying her nieces and nephews, especially Tammy. She was the best mother-in-law and grandmother as well as being a talented painter, seamstress, cake decorator, housekeeper and crocheter. Mary took very good care of her family and was the cornerstone of them all. She is deeply loved and her absence will always be felt.

Mary Dolloff passed away Wednesday June 28, 2023. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Dolloff; one son, Jay Dolloff; one granddaughter, Kuger Dolloff; three brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by three brothers, Willard Briley and wife Sharon of Palestine, Texas, Johnny Briley and wife Trenna of Heath, Texas, and Jimmy Briley of Oklahoma; and one sister Ruby Clark and husband Danny of Bonham, Texas; two grandchildren, Jay Anthony Dolloff of Seminole, and Adam Dolloff and wife Stephanie of Durango, Colorado; one niece, whom she considered as a daughter, Tammy Briley of Fort Worth, Texas; and two great-nieces, who were both like granddaughters, Lexi and Reci Tamayo of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Stacey Paquin of Seminole, Texas; her dear friends, Teresa Sims and husband George of Seminole, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and two great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Home Hospice of Andrews, especially Mallorie, Kellie, Daisy and Jessica, along with other caregivers for all of the loving care and kindness they showed, not only to our beloved Mary, but to our family as well.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to The National Institute of Developmental Delays via Virginia at (405) 395-2939 or the charity of your choice.
