When William "Willie" Joseph Hall was born on October 27, 1881, in Kempner, Texas, his father, William, was 29 and his mother, Lydia, was 22. He had two sons and four daughters with Frances Ann Carpenter between 1908 and 1926. He died on September 19, 1959, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 77, and was buried there.
