Funeral services for Nelda Harris, 60, of Seminole were conducted Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the M.S. Doss Community Chapel with the Rev. James Washburn officiating. Interment followed in the Gaines County Memorial Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.

Nelda was born September 29, 1956 in Seminole to James F. and Ada Irene Bingham. Nelda and Kennith Harris were married June 7, 1974 in Seminole. She graduated from Seminole High School and attended New Mexico Jr. College. Nelda was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, employed by Occidental Petroleum for six years, and was a member of Xi Alpha Beta Eta. Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Freddy Bingham and a sister, Paula Elaine Bingham.

Nelda is survived by her husband, Kennith Harris of Seminole; two sons, Eric Harris of Austin and Clayton Harris and his wife Judi of Hondo; three granddaughters, BraeLynn, Raeven and Jaycee; two brothers, Donald Bingham and Larry Bingham and one sister, Linda Brown.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, Tn. 38105-9959 nor to the Shriners, 815 Market, Galveston, Tx., 77550.
