Obit:
James Edward Reich, 54, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. James, better known as Jim, was born April 17, 1958 in Sweetwater. He was a 1976 graduate of Sweetwater High School and attended Angelo State University, graduating in 1980. He was employed by Bob Parr at the former Trend Furniture. After working for Knox Supply Company a short time, he moved to Orlando, Fla. to work for the La Z Boy Corporation. During his 19 years with La Z Boy, the franchise grew to five stores with Jim managing the warehousing, deliveries and claims departments. When Jim and his college sweetheart, Andrea Bradley were married on Jan. 1, 2010, he returned to San Angelo and was again employed by Knox Supply. Jim's zest for life was evident in repairing cars, boats and a constant stream of "projects." He had a love of sports, followed NASCAR and competed in billiards. Jim made friends wherever he went and had the natural ability to create a happy atmosphere.
Jim's survivors are his loving and dedicated wife, Andrea; his parents, Ed and Gladys Reich of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Delores Schwartz and husband Roger of Augusta, GA, Karen Weis and husband Bill of Saginaw, MI; brother, Charles Reich and wife Karri of Winter Haven, FL; nieces Abigail Schwartz and Anna Reich, nephews, Samuel Weis and wife Jessica, Joseph Weis, Nathaniel Schwartz, Ethan Schwartz and Timothy Reich; and great-nephew, Henry James Weis.
Memorials may be designated to Hospice of San Angelo or San Angelo Christian Academy.
