When Nettie Jane English-Reeves was born on April 10, 1885, in Red River, Texas, her father, Robert, was 29, and her mother, Melinda, was 19. She married John N Jackson (1879–1902) and they had one daughter together. She also had one son with Wiley J Reeves. She died on August 7, 1960, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 75, and was buried there.
