Henry Stevens Ramsey, Jr., 92 of Vernon, Texas died on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Lockett Highway Church of Christ with James Rogers officiating. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home

Henry was born Saturday, January 26, 1924 in Texarkana, Texas; he was the son of the late Henry Stevens Ramsey, Sr. and the late Stella Cluck Ramsey. He married Edna F. Clarida on June 9, 1946 in Vernon she preceded him in death on June 7, 2010. He was a graduate of South Lockett High School in 1943. He was a farmer, farm mechanic and a carpenter in 1989 he was Conservation Farmer of the year. He served in the US Army during WWII earned 2 bronze stars Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Infantry Radio Operator later Texas National Guard. He was a member of Lockett Highway Church of Christ.

Heath Ramsey of Lubbock, TX.
Loren Anne Ramsey of Vernon, TX.

Four great grandchildren

Jim Ramsey of Houston, TX.

Elaine Favors of Deberry, TX.

He is preceded in death by his son Stephen Ramsey October 12, 2012 and a brother Jack Ramsey.

Visitation will be Monday September 5, 2016 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to Lockett Highway Church of Christ.

VERNON — Edna F. Ramsey, 82, of Vernon died Monday, June 7, 2010, in Vernon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Locket Church of Christ with Mr. David McSpadden and Mr. Doug Hall officiating. Burial will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home of Vernon.

Mrs. Ramsey was a homemaker.

Survivors include husband, Henry S. Ramsey, Jr. of the home; one son, Stephen of Vernon; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Locket Church of Christ or American Cancer Society.
