Funeral services for Matthew Ruben Flores, age 19 of Seminole, Texas will be held Friday, December 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Family Harvest Church with Pastor Tod Delay officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Matthew Flores was born in Seminole on October 20, 1996 to Sarah (Espino) and Ruben Flores. He was a freshman at South Plains College in Levelland and a member of Family Harvest Church. He loved being with his family. His friends always had high respect for him; he was a true friend to them. He loved sports, especially baseball, softball, and football. Matthew was a diehard Texas Tech fan, and was very competitive, always up for a challenge. He also loved dancing and was always smiling.
Matthew Flores passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Seminole Memorial Hospital. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Luz Flores in 2011.
He is survived by his parents, Ruben and Sarah Flores of Seminole, Texas; five brothers, Ruben Flores and wife Damaris of Seminole, Texas, J.J. Alvidrez and girlfriend Chelsea of Seminole, Texas, Scotty Flores of Lubbock, Texas, Mark Flores of Seminole, Texas, and Jeremiah Flores of Seminole, Texas; his paternal grandmother, Margarita Flores of Seminole, Texas; his maternal grandparents, Juan and Odelia Espino of Seminole, Texas; his godsister, Kalyna Garcia of Seminole, Texas; his godbrother, Ruben Riojas of Seminole, Texas; one nephew, Tristen Flores of Seminole, Texas; and two nieces, Maddison Flores of Seminole, Texas and Nayelli Flores of Seminole, Texas.
