Funeral Mass for Margarita Flores, age 82 of Seminole, Texas will be celebrated Monday, April 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. Rosary will be held Sunday, April 14, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church from 6 to 7 p.m. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Flores was born September 21, 1936 in Seguin, Texas to Virginia (Aguirre) and Manuel Gomez. She married Luz Flores, Sr. in Seguin on September 15, 1951. Margarita was a Catholic and a homemaker. She loved farming, driving trucks, working in the watermelon packing house, music and dancing. She was always a very neat and tidy person and was a wonderful cook. She loved her family dearly.

Margarita Flores passed away at her home in Seminole on Thursday, April 11, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Luz Flores, Sr. in 2011, two sons, and two grandsons. She is survived by four sons, Luz Flores, Jr. and wife Yolanda, Jose Flores and wife Maria, Jesse Flores and wife Janie, and Ruben Flores and wife Sarah, all of Seminole, Texas; five daughters, Benita Navarro and husband Lucio of Bangs, Texas, Sandra Flores of Seguin, Texas, Virginia Navarro and husband Santiago of Seminole, Texas, Irma Perez of Seminole, and Betty Espinoza of Seminole, Texas; one brother, Santiago Gomez of Seminole, Texas; one sister, Cecilia Tesillo and husband Tomas of Hobbs, New Mexico; thirty-six grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
