Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel for Pearl Kuehn, 90, who died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1993, in a local hospital after a brief illness. John Roberts, minister of the Wilbarger Street Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park.

Mrs. Kuehn was born Oct 11, 1902, in Foard County and moved to Vernon about 13 years ago. She was a member of the Wilbarger Street Church of Christ and was a past member of the Foard County Riverside Home Demonstration Club.

Surviving are a son, Ward Kuehn of Vernon; three sisters, Kattie Taylor of Quanah, Minnie Kasperek of Athens, Texas, and Edna Goodrich of Mexia; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 16, 1991.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddy Kuehn, Guy Traylor, Tim Hawkins, Henry Ramsey, Bill Smith, and Rodney Handley.

The family will be at 2629 Sunset Drive.

When Samuel Claude Kuehn was born on January 16, 1905, in Tomball, Texas, his father, Gustave, was 45 and his mother, Mary, was 40. He married Pearl May Ward in Denton, Texas. They had one child during their marriage. He died on October 19, 1991, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 86, and was buried there.
