SEMINOLE-Funeral services for Dana D'Ann Upton, 50, will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Seminole with Rev. Tony Pitcox officiating. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. She passed away Wednesday, after a lengthy illness.

Dana was born Dec. 27, 1965, in Seminole to Weldon and Betty Jenkins. She attended Seminole Schools where she played volleyball, basketball, and was a twirler. Their volleyball team went to state finals in 1981 and 1982. Dana and Allison Upton were married on Oct. 28, 2013, in Seminole. She was employed with Amerada Hess for a few years before deciding to be at home with her children. Dana also was a Clerk Deputy in the Gaines County Clerk's office before moving to Trinidad, Colorado in 1998 with her family. While in Trinidad she attained her degree from Trinidad Jr. College in applied Computer Science and came home to Seminole in 2003 and was employed with SISD at F.J. Young Primary School as a Computer Aide as well as drove school bus #3. In 2011 she returned to Amerada Hess and has been a Data Analyst for the last five years. Dana was honored as the Oilfield Support Person of the Year for 2016. Dana was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and is a member of the First Baptist Church.

Dana is survived by her husband, Allison; a son, Daniel Quisenberry of Seminole; two daughters, Danlee Mata and her husband, Jeremy, and Danijo Quisenberry of Lubbock; her parents, Weldon and Betty Jenkins of Seminole; along with two sisters, Dodie Boyd and her husband, James of Seminole, Darla Luster and her husband, Bobby of Ruidoso, NM; her brother, Derrick Jenkins and his wife, Tammie of Seminole; also her aunt and uncle, Wayne and Peggy Jenkins of Burleson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
