When Rufus Euel Moore was born on November 10, 1913, in Tyler, Texas, his father, Robert, was 29 and his mother, Lela, was 25. He had one son with Mildred Lee Pigg in 1937. He died on May 11, 1996, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 82, and was buried there.
