Funeral Mass for Lydia Rocha, age 85 of Seminole, Texas, will be celebrated Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. Rosary will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rocha was born July 13, 1938 in Victoria, Texas to Victoria (Torres) and Pedro Ramirez. She married Martin Rocha, Sr. in Tahoka, Texas on May 28, 1958. She was a Catholic and a homemaker. Lydia enjoyed listening to music and dancing. She was a very caring and loving woman who always put her family first; and loved her life.
Lydia Rocha passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Rocha, Sr. in 1996; one daughter, three brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, Martin Rocha, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, and Fabian Rocha and wife Mary of Seminole; two daughters, Jenny Jimenez and husband David, and Louann Rocha, both of Seminole; one sister, Victoria Garza and husband Santos of Denver City, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
