When Henry Alvin Conner was born on December 31, 1901, in Hickman, Tennessee, his father, Rufus, was 38 and his mother, Ella, was 21. He married Annie Alice Ray on January 11, 1920, in his hometown. They had one child during their marriage. He died on February 28, 1954, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 52.
