When Aubrey Gordon Edwards was born on May 3, 1906, in Texas, his father, George, was 23 and his mother, Laura, was 21. He married Georgia Viola Hardeman on December 25, 1942, in Taylor, Texas. He died on June 12, 1997, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 91, and was buried in his hometown.
