FORT COBB, OKLA. - Linden Laubhan, 72, died Thursday, March 17, 2005.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Lipscomb Cemetery in Lipscomb, Texas, with Joe Albrecht, pastor of Highland United Methodist Church in Fort Cobb, officiating. Arrangements are by Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, Texas.

Mr. Laubhan was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Lipscomb to the late Mr. Alex Laubhan and Mina Appel Laubhan. He was a graduate of Higgins High School and attended two years at Texas Wesley College in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Wilma Booth on June 7, 1952, at First United Methodist Church in Higgins, Texas. He moved to Fort Cobb in 1982 from Dumas, Texas.

Linden worked at Security Federal in Pampa, Texas, as an accountant and also worked as a comptroller at the Savings and Loan Bank in Dumas. He was a volunteer firefighter at Crow Roost Fire Department in Fort Cobb. Linden loved fishing and gardening and was also a member of Highland Methodist Church in Fort Cobb.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry Laubhan and wife, Jennie, of Irving, Texas, Rick Laubhan and wife, Ida, of Amarillo, Texas, and Carlton Laubhan and wife, Brenda, of Lewisville, Texas; his stepfather and stepmother, Clarence and Elma Lou Case of Lipscomb; a brother, Gene Laubhan and wife, Kenda, of Amarillo; a sister, Carol Cole and husband, Charles, of Canadian; an aunt, Marie Schneider of Lipscomb; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Highland Methodist Church, P.O. Box 9, Fort Cobb, OK 73038.
