Watkins, Helen Wiley Helen W. Watkins, 91, of Dallas, passed away August 29, 2008. Born July 10, 1917, in Denison, Texas, the second daughter to Mary and Emery Wiley, Helen attended Southern Methodist University Law School and became a professor at the Cox School of Business. She wed Harmon Watkins and was blessed with a daughter, Dorothy. Helen and Harmon practiced law together for many years and were devoted members of Highland Park United Methodist Church. Helen was a true inspiration of generosity and determination, and she experienc- ed great joy from her life of work, her beloved family, friends, and pets, and her longtime family home. She is preceded in death by her parents Mary and Emery Wiley, her sister Dorothy Wiley, and her husband Harmon Watkins. She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Bustamante; her granddaughters Melitta Berger, Mireya Brogan, and Monika Bustamante and their spouses; her great-grandchildren Maeve and Knox Brogan; her cousin, Delia Everman, and many beloved cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at Cox Chapel at Highland Park United Methodist Church, Rev. Bill Smith, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, ASPCA Tributes, 520 8th Ave., 7th Flr, NY 10018, or charity of choice Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home and Cemetery 7405 W.
