When Oscar Lafette Perrin was born on May 7, 1891, in Decatur, Texas, his father, Timoleon, was 38 and his mother, Virginia, was 33. He married Fannie Jane Cartwright on December 8, 1912, in his hometown. They had three children in 10 years. He died on April 16, 1974, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 82, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
