When Charles Murphy Francis was born on May 25, 1883, in Paris, Texas, his father, William, was 38 and his mother, Helen, was 33. He married Will Chessy Dollerhide on February 2, 1913. They had one child during their marriage. He died on June 27, 1946, in Hobart, Oklahoma, at the age of 63, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
