Jewell Hildebrand, 89 of Vernon, Texas died on Wednesday, February 20, 2019,in Vernon, Texas.
Services will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Neuburger officiating. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Jewell was born Thursday, July 11, 1929 in Vernon, Texas; she was the daughter of the late Wensel Niesner and the late Velma Naumann Niesner. She married Joseph T. Cotton" Hildebrand on February 4, 1951 in Vernon he preceded her in death in 2005. She was a teacher’s aide at VISD for 20 years. She was a member of TEEA, Pease River Quilter’s Quill, Young at Heart Red Hat Ladies. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Jewell is survived by her son, Joe Hildebrand and wife Robbie of Nocona, TX, daughter, Grace Burzynski and husband Richard of Huntsville, TX, brother, Johnny Niesner and wife Rebecca of Decatur, TX. Eight grandchildren JW Heath (Lacie) of Vernon, Jennifer Heath of Vernon, Joe Allen Hildebrand, Nocona, Jason Hildebrand (Krystal), Albuquerque, NM., Chad Abbott, Nocona, Brad Abbott (Angel), Elaine McWhorter (Justin), Navasota, TX., Erik Burzynski (Lacy) Shir, Navasota, TX., also fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah Frank in 2017 and Brenda Sue Hildebrand in 2007.
Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, or M.S. Society.

When Joseph Theodore Hildebrand was born on October 9, 1927, in Vernon, Texas, his father, Joseph, was 32 and his mother, Flory, was 24. He had four children with . He died on December 1, 2003, in his hometown at the age of 76, and was buried there.
