When King David Henry Clawson was born on September 23, 1876, in Denton, Texas, his father, Moses, was 41 and his mother, Almeda, was 23. He had four sons and two daughters with Jessie Clyde between 1899 and 1915. He died on January 14, 1962, in Wilbarger, Texas, at the age of 85, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
