LIPSCOMB - Kathryn Webb, 93, died Friday, March 4, 2005, in Canadian.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lipscomb Union Church with the Rev. Floyd Thiessen officiating. Burial will be in Lipscomb Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian.

Mrs. Webb was born May 7, 1911, in Shattuck, Okla., to the late Mr. David Appel and Mrs. Magdalena Schilling Appel. She attended school at Willow Creek in Lipscomb County. She married Gill Webb on Jan. 5, 1929, in Lipscomb. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1956.

Kathryn was a lifelong resident of Lipscomb County. She owned and operated Lipscomb Telephone Office from 1942 until 1968. She also cooked at Lipscomb Cafe for 20 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Lipscomb Union Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, Laney Schafer.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lynne Schafer and husband, Jimmy, of Canadian; three grandchildren, Kathy Parker and husband, Skip, of Richardson, Sam Schafer of Lipscomb and Janae Schafer of Canadian; five great-grandchildren, Nikki Hunter and husband, Jason, of Garland, Josh Parker of Austin, Heather Parker of Richardson, Megan Schafer of Canadian and Tanner Schafer of Lipscomb; and two great-great-grandchildren, Charlie Hunter and Jack Hunter, both of Garland.

The family suggests memorials be to Lipscomb Union Church, Lipscomb, TX 79056, Abraham Edward Memorial Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, TX 79014 or to a favorite charity.
