Funeral Mass for Ana Maria Martinez, age 74 of Seagraves, Texas will be celebrated on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Seagraves, with Father Hugh Thekkel officiating. Burial will follow in Seagraves Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Mrs. Martinez will lie in state at Boyer Funeral Home in Seminole until service time.
Mrs. Martinez passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at her sister's home in El Paso, Texas following a lengthy illness. She was born September 24, 1935 in Mexico to Eva (Cordona) and Angel Samaniego. She married Roberto Martinez in Mexico in 1978 and they moved to Seagraves that same year. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and she was a homemaker.
Ana Maria Martinez is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Roberto in 2004. She is survived by: 1 Son Arturo Martinez and wife Roberta of Seagraves, Texas, 2 Brothers Hector Samaniego of Mexico, Alejandro Samaniego of Mexico , 1 Sister Ana Maria Cordona of El Paso, Texas, 2 Grandchildren Victoria and Angel Martinez.
