When Otto Obenhause was born in 1878 in Texas, his father, Carl, was 49 and his mother, Maria, was 42. He married Alvina Obenhaus and they had nine children together. He then married Alvene Elvina Obenhaus and they had nine children together. He died on July 6, 1966, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 88, and was buried there.
