Mable GUM, 86, of Darrouzett, died February 15, 1996 at Twin Oaks Manor in Booker.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 17, at 2 p.m. in the
First Baptist Church in Darrouzett, with Rev. Gary McDonald
officiating. Burial was in Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker.

She was born December 10, 1909 in Beaver County, Oklahoma. She grew up there, attended the Sunset County School and later Booker schools.

She married Warren GUM on July 28, 1928 in LaCamp, Oklahoma. They lived and farmed in the Darrouzett area until 1946 when they moved to Ochiltree County. They lived in Ochiltree County until 1980, when the moved to the Logan community.

In 1989, she lived in Darrouzett for two years before making her home at Twin Oaks Manor. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Darrouzett, and was involved with the Home Demonstration Club and 4-H Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Wayne; a grandson, Perry Wayne; five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by one son, Dean GUM of San Antonio; one daughter, Goldie PARKS of Darrouzett; two brothers, Allen FORD of Jetmore, Kansas and Tom FORD of Woodward, Oklahoma; three sisters, Vera RUBEN of Montrose, Colorado, Lucy GONSOR of Woodward and Betty WILDE of Muskogee, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
