When Hubert B Valentine was born on August 14, 1894, in Havana, Arkansas, his father, James, was 32 and his mother, Minnie, was 28. He had six brothers and seven sisters. He died on January 12, 1984, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 89, and was buried there.
