Loving mother, wife and grandmother Lillian Cowart Searcy, 88 of Abilene, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017. Funeral services will be Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Baker Heights Church of Christ, 5382 Texas Avenue. Burial will follow in Loop, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Lillian was always moving – working, cooking, cleaning and talking about what she loved the best – her family. She was a faithful member of the Baker Heights Church of Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Lorene Lutterall; her first husband Thomas Cowart; son Ronald Cowart; daughter Sherry Hanson and great-granddaughter Danae Cowart. Lillian is survived by her husband Coy Searcy of Abilene; son Edgar Cowart of Abilene; brother Martin Lutterall of Andrews; sisters June Turnbow of Odessa and Faye Chapman, Shirlyne Peel and Sue Gilchrist, all of Hobbs, New Mexico. Also by her grandchildren, which were all very special to her; Cy Cowart, Amanda Layland, Courtney Cowart, Kimberly Irving and Melissa Lundquist. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren; Austin and Ashley Layland, Hanson and Annabel Irving and Caitlyn and Carter Cowart.
