Funeral services for Juanita J. La Duque, 98, of Hobbs formerly of Seminole will be conducted Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 at 4 p.m. CST in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.
She passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 in Hobbs, NM. Mrs. La Duque was born Sept. 1, 1918 in Lingleville, Texas to Otis and Minnie Greer. Juanita married Carroll La Duque in big Springs, Texas on Jan. 13, 1940. She was living in Hobbs at the time of her death. Before moving to Hobbs in 1992 she was a homemaker in Seminole for 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carroll La Duque in January 1985, a sister Tessie Knight, a brother Waylan Greer and a son Danny La Duque.
Mrs. La Duque is survived by a son Ronald La Duque and his wife Lynda of Stephenville, Texas; two daughters, Carolyn Price of Hobbs and Patsy Walton and her husband Ron of Lubbock; along with 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
