Gary Howard passed away on May 21, 2017, in Flowery Branch, Ga. He was born December 23, 1941, in Carthage, Mo., to Ralph and Virginia Howard.
He graduated from Carthage High School in 1960. He received his BA in mathematics from Ouachita Baptist University and Masters from Henderson State University.
Gary and Dolly Balance were married on December 18, 1964.
Gary was an officer in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, he was a stockbroker for Dean Witter Reynolds and taught math at the Marine Military Academy, in Harlingen, Texas.
After his wife, Dolly, passed away, he married Marilyn Evon June 27, 2015, in Flowery Branch.
Gary was an ordained Baptist deacon. He was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of Flowery Branch; daughters, Christy Dunlop (Greg) and Cindy Koenig (Erik); and four grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Virginia Howard; siblings, David Howard (Nadine), Steve Howard (Judy), Judy Howard and Mary Allison(Gary), of Carthage.
