December 19, 1924 - April 10, 2017
Frank Dennis Sealy, age 92, passed away on April 10th, 2017, with his family by his side. Frank was born on December 19, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York, to Alice Harriet Green Sealy and Gurney Lee Sealy.
Frank graduated from Boys High School in Brooklyn, New York and then attended Brooklyn College until he enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1942. He served as a meteorologist in the 5th Air Force weather squadron until the war ended. He worked for the National Weather service for 37 years located at Corpus Christi International Airport.
Frank was a loving and dedicated husband, father, son and brother. He was a member of the Weber Road Church of Christ and a former member of Ayers Street Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder for several years. Frank met his wife Glenda of 59 years at Ayers Street Church and on September 28, 1957 they married.
Frank loved to travel and was a big sports fan. He loved all sports but especially loved baseball and football. He was an original Brooklyn Dodger fan. His football team was the Dallas Cowboys and he was true to his Cowboys!
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Harriet Green Sealy and Gurney Lee Sealy; his first wife Alma Ruth Lowery Sealy; son, Clifton Alan Sealy; brothers, Durdin Hume Sealy and Calhoun Glover Sealy; and one sister, Lovie Sealy Black.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 1:00 p.m., at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel: 4357 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78412. A burial service will be held on Monday, April 17th, at 11:00 a.m., at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
