Funeral services for Elisabeth Harms, age 69 of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Pastor Henry Martens officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harms was born in Mexico July 4, 1949 to Elisabeth (Friesen) and Johan Guenther. She married John Harms in Canada March 26, 1974. She was an amazing woman of God, a good wife, and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved God and her family dearly. She was a gifted woman of many talents, who could do anything she put her mind to. Elisabeth was a very caring and wise person; anyone with a problem could ask her advice and she was always willing to help. She had an amazing mind and enjoyed many things including working with her hands, working on the farm, flowers, drawing and carpentry.

Elisabeth loved her family very deeply. God blessed the family by making her John’s wife and her children’s mother. She truly loved life and everything she did was with love and care. She was known for always having a wonderful sense of humor. She is adored by her family as well as many others.

Elisabeth Harms passed away April 14, 2019 at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, and one sister-in-law. She is survived by her husband, John Harms of Seminole, Texas; one son, David Harms and wife Annie of Brownfield, Texas; four daughters, Lisa Teichroeb and husband John of Seminole, Texas, Margie Martens and husband Abe of Seminole, Texas, Tina Fehr and husband Jake of Seminole, Texas, and Susie Banman and husband David of Seminole, Texas; four brothers, Peter Guenther and wife Anna of Mexico, Johan Guenther and wife Elisabeth of Mexico, Jake Guenther of Canada, and George Guenther and wife Susan of Seminole, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Sara Guenther of Mexico, Maria Guenther of Mexico, and Helena Guenther of Canada; and by 18 grandchildren.
