Trueman Auld, 80, of Hobbs passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2007 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at Northside Baptist Church with Reverend James Auld, Rev. Jason Byrd and Reverend Brad Reimers officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Denver City Cemetery in Denver City, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home.
Mr. Auld was born on Sept. 21, 1926 in Healdton, Oklahoma to Virgil and Pearl McLain Auld. He married Doris Christine Hatch on July 28, 1949 in Brownfield, Texas and they celebrated over 57 glorious years of marriage together. Mr. Auld graduated from Ada, Oklahoma High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Mr. Auld retired from Mobil Oil after 40 years of service. He enjoyed drinking coffee at the coffee shops, attending his grandchildrenís sporting events and loved being with his family. Mr. Auld was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
His parents; his brothers, Olvin, Alvin, Roswell, and Thurman Auld; and his sisters, Nola Brown and Lorraine Latimer preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Christine of the home; daughters, Neva Byrd and her husband, Don of Hobbs, Rita Lambert and her husband, Mickey of Lovington and Sandra Coones and her husband, Ron of Lovington; son, Jimmy Auld and his wife, Vickie of Denver City, Texas; brothers, L.V. Auld and Lee Auld; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Christine Auld, 90, will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Denver City with Reverend Jason Byrd and Reverend Jim Auld officiating. Services will be under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park. She passed away Dec. 17, 2016 in Lubbock. Christine was born April 17, 1926, in Rule, Texas, to Tobie and Geneva Hatch. She married Truman Auld, July 28, 1949, in Lubbock. She graduated from Ralls High School and then went on to the University of the Southwest where she received her Bachelor's degree and then received her Master's from Eastern New Mexico University. She was an educator for over 40 years in the Tatum, Lovington, and Whitharral school systems before retiring. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Denver City and a member of Crosswinds Community Church in Hobbs, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truman; a brother, Billy Hatch; a daughter, Sandra Kaye Coones; and a granddaughter, Mary Auld Guenther. Survivors include a son, Jim Auld and his wife, Vicki of Midland; two daughters, Rita Lambert and her husband, Mickey of Lovington, NM, Neva Byrd and her husband, Don of Lubbock; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Ratliff Funeral Home.
