Funeral services for J.C. Bailey, 86, of Denver City will be conducted Monday, December 3, 2012 at the First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Reverend Randy Butler officiating under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery. He passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in Denver City. J.C. Bailey was born on July 22, 1926 in Carthage, Texas to Javie and Joyce Bailey. He married Darnell Meeks in 1947 in Tahoka, Texas. They moved to the Denver City area in 1962 where he worked for many years for W.L. Kid Oilfield Service. J.C. was preceded in death by his wife, Darnell Bailey in 2000; a son, Charles Bailey in 1995; two brothers; and three sisters. He survived by his son, Jackie Bailey and wife Melinda of Sundown; his daughter Janice Valverde and husband Carlos, Jr. of Denver City; a sister, Nancy Coen and husband Rodney of Shallowater; along with ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

DENVER CITY (Special) Service for Darnell Bailey, 70, of Denver City will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Denver City with the Rev. Bob Webb of First Baptist Church officiating with assistance by Glenn Reece.
Burial will follow in Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home.

She died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. She was born June 20, 1929, in Tahoka.
She married J.C. Bailey July 19, 1947, in Tahoka. She and her daughter, Janice Bailey, owned the Hi-Neighbor Drive Inn for 20 years. She had lived in Denver City since 1963, and she was a Baptist.

A son, Charles Bailey, died on July 19, 1995. Survivors include her husband; a son, Jackie Bailey of Sundown; a daughter, Janice Bailey of Denver City; two sisters, Winnell Dodson of Post and Hazel Lovell of Midland; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Source: Ratliff Funeral Home.
