Graveside Services for James Clinton Crittenden, 90, of Denver City will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 20, 2017 in the Denver City Memorial Park, with Reverend Kyle Streun, Pastor First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

James passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 in Shinnery Oaks Retirement Community.

He was born June 7, 1927 in Big Spring, Texas to the late Emmit C and Mollie Lee Byrum Crittenden. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, He farmed the family place in Higginbotham for twelve years, then with his twin Brother George started traveling and building electrical plants across Texas, New Mexico and Arizona area, they also sold and rebuilt oilfield bits as well. He lived in Roswell, New Mexico for thirty plus years before moving to Denver City to be closer to his family.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

James is survived by three daughters: Brenda Grimes of Denver City; Debi Flowers and Judy Thompson and her husband Frank all of Lubbock; a sister Dot Gay and husband Dale of Smithville, Georgia; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel, Denver City. www.legacy.com.
