ODESSA Jerry Don Daniel, 68, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, August 9 2009, while on a fishing trip in Del Rio. He was born in Littlefield. Texas to Bill Oscar Daniel and Nina Alice (Mason) Daniel. He married Barbara Ami Province August 1, 1982 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was the owner and operator of Daniel A/C and Heating. He was a member of the United Church of God.

Jerry was in the heating and air conditioning business for 43 years, but his great love was for fishing and golf. He was a vagabond, a wondering soul, but called Texas and Eastern New Mexico home. If he could have convienced Barbara, they would have settled in Del Rio. He was full of personality, and he loved to joke around and harass folks.
hose left to cherish his love and memory include his wife, Barbara Daniel of Odessa; sons, Corby Don Daniel of Midland and Gus Marker of Hobbs, N.M.; daughters, Rosana Fincher and Karen Lawson, both of Frisco, Melisa Townsend of Forney, Jan Laijas and Marilayne Millwood, both of Odessa, Vickie Lee of Dexter, N.M., and Robbie Morrison of Roswell, N.M.; brother, Leo Daniel of Lubbock; sister, Joyce Page of Denver City; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside, services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Friday at Denver City Memorial Park with the Rev. Tom Damour officiating. Arrangements are by Acres West Funeral Chapel. www.acreswestfuneral.com

Barbara Ann (Province) Daniel, age 73, departed this life on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at her Odessa, TX home. She was born in Hobbs, NM on January 23, 1938 to the late Fred Theophilus Province and Mary Agnes (Needham) Province. She married Jerry Don Daniel in Hobbs on August 1, 1982 and they began a life together lasting 27 years, until separated by his death in 2009.

Barbara worked for nine years as a bartender at "George's Supper Club". After her marriage to Jerry, however, she became his secretary at their business, Daniel AC and Heating. They were members of the United Church of God. Anyone who knew Barbara loved her for her kind and generous heart and loving smile. She was an artist, loved music, crossword puzzles and playing cards. But above all else she loved God.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Barbara's sister: Jo Ann Allen, precedes her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Jan Marker Laijas and husband David of Odessa and Marilayne Marker Millwood and husband Bruce of Odessa; one son: Frederick Gus Marker and wife Carmen of Hobbs, NM; two foster daughters: Vickie Lee of Dexter NM and Robbie Morrison of Roswell, NM; three step daughters: Rosana Fincher and partner Mark Townsend of Frisco, TX, Melisa Townsend and husband Brent of Forney TX and Karen Lawson and husband Heath of Frisco, TX; one stepson: Corby Daniel and partner Rett Hutto of Stanton, TX; two sisters: Dorothy Collins of Hobbs, NM and Minnie Cothran and husband Gary of Lovington, NM; brother: Doyle Province and wife Bettye of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Denver City Memorial Park in Denver City, TX, officiated by Pastor Tom Damour. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa. www.acreswestfuneral.com
