Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Anton (Tony) Joshep Kucera, age 91 of Denver City, Texas on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 10:00 AM, at St. Williams Catholic Church in Denver City, with Father Joseph Thanavelil officiating. Burial will follow in Denver City Memorial Park. Rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 2 and 3, 2008 at St. Williams Catholic Church from 7 to 8 PM. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

Mr. Kucera passed away May 30, 2008 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas following a lengthy illness. He was born in Flatonia, Texas on May 1, 1917 to Charles Kucera & Kristina Macalik. He married Minnie Ola Suttle on November 27, 1945 in Lubbock. He had retired from the US Postal Service, and was a very patriotic man. Mr. Kucera sold poppies for the V.F.W. He had served his country and was very proud to have served. He loved family gatherings and never met a man he didn't like. He loved his Catholic faith, and he loved to fish. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Ola Suffle of Denver City, Texas; 2 sons, Anthony Kucera & wife Barbara of The Woodlands, Texas, Michael Kucera & wife Ann of Huston, Texas; 1 daughter, Christine Gibson & husband Rick of Denver City, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Hillary Hiler, Lea Gibson Esquivel, Lisa Gibson & Brennan Kucera; and 1 great-grandchild, Jackson Hiler.www.boyerfuneralhome.net

Funeral Mass for Minne Ola Kucera, 90, of Denver City, Texas, will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Williams Catholic Church in Denver City with Father Joseph Thanavelil officiating. Burial will follow in Denver City Memorial Park. There will be family visitation at Boyer Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, from 7 to 8 p.m. Rosary will be held at Saint Williams Catholic Church Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, from 6 to 7 p.m. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole. The family requests that any donations be made to the Tony Kucera Scholarship at Saint Williams Catholic Church or Blessing the Food Pantry at 210 W. 4th St, Denver City, TX.

Mrs. Kucera passed from this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole, Texas, following a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Jessie Ann (Goodwin) and Henry Milton (Tad) Suttle. She married Anton (Tony) Kucera on Nov. 27, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas. Mrs. Kucera moved to Denver City, Texas, in 1939 and was a pioneer founder of Denver City. Minnie was a window clerk for the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed everyone and never knew a stranger. She liked canning and sewing. She was a wonderful person and caregiver and was known for being very generous.

Mrs. Kucera was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Kucera, May 30, 2008; one brother, Henry Milton Suttle Jr.; and one sister, Lena Mae Stafford.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony Kucera and wife Barbara of Spring, Texas, and Michael Kucera and wife Ann of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Christine Gibson and husband Rick of Denver City, Texas; one sister, Lorita Quinney of Snyder, Texas; four grandchildren, Hillary Hiler and husband Aaron of Houston, Texas, Brennan Kucera and wife Megan of San Antonio, Texas, Leah Gibson Esquivel and husband Pete of Denver City, Texas, and Lisa Gibson of Denver City, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson and Emerson Hiler of Houston, Texas, and Gibson Allen Esquivel of Denver City, Texas.
