Services for Mrs. Jane Beard were held at the Markley Baptist Church officiated by Rev. J.B. Weathers, pastor of the Loving Methodist Church.
Mrs. Beard died at the home of a daughter in Markley. She had been a resident of Young County for many years.
Survived by two daughters - Mrs. W.J. Wright and Mrs. N.B. Herring.

While the death certificate and funeral home records show she was born in Alabama, census records show she was born in Georgia,
The 1910 census shows Jennie and husband George W Beard living in Markley, where George was a merchant,
In 1940, she was living with a daughter in Dallas, Texas.
A 1950 Cemetery transcription shows a photo in the oval above her name. Sometime between 1950 and 1960 it was removed.
